Job Description

Retail Development ConsultantAbu Dhabi, UAEPosition Overview:The?Retail Development Consultant MTB?is a key support to the?Lead Retail Development Consultant MTB?& in turn the Commercial Function to ensure the delivery of the commercial spaces in Midfield Terminal Building. This includes design, fit-out including commissioning etc., for opening of the retail and 3rd Party spaces through the retail delivery process for opening day in line with the Retail Unit Opening Strategy by working with business partners and the project team.?Its main role is to support, plan, develop and deliver,?for opening day, the?retail spaces?within?MTB by ensuring the engagement of the Commercial?function, the?MTB?Project?Team and Concessionaires?to manage?the?work streams required to achieve delivery.?The?Retail Development Consultant MTB?will always be expected to convey a positive and collaborative attitude whilst maintaining the highest standards in undertaking their work and acting with integrity and professionalism. They should comply with the organizations laid down standards, procedures and processes and implement these effectively.Role:To support and expedite the retail delivery in line with the MTB opening of 200+ unitsTo support the delivery of 250 million AED pa income.To support the business partner relationships in a hands on technical facilitation role whilst managing senior level relationships and complex scenariosResponsibilities:

  • Act as the Concessionaires? Representative in collaboration between the Concessionaires and the Project Retail Delivery Team.
  • Manage?the?Concessionaire engagement and design delivery process by ensuring?submissions of the concessionaire detailed designs and implementation on site are as per the agreed program and timelines?
  • Direct management of the concessionaire?s concept designs.
  • Assist the?Lead Retail Development Consultant MTB?with interfacing of the retail delivery with the MTB ORAT team.
  • Assist the?Lead Retail Development Consultant MTB?with managing the MTB Retail Delivery RISK Schedule on behalf of Commercial.
  • Support the Concessionaire and their design teams to ensure designs submissions are complete and compliant, prior to the Retail Delivery Team undertaking the technical assessment and approval.
  • Assist in Retail units Handover and Closeout Phases with the Retail Delivery Team, including coordination with the Facilities Management Provider, IT Department and Services Providers.
  • Prepare Technical information for any RFP?s required for the retail in MTB.
  • Regular review with the concessionaires of progress against their agreed baseline programme and timelines.
  • Ensure that Airports provide services and amenities that are efficient, of the highest quality and to meet the customer?s expectations and needs.
  • Ensure delivery of a world class retail environment that is seen as a benchmark within the travel retail market and support on time & effective delivery.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
