Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTIONRole : ParalegalLocation : Abu Dhabi Role Purpose:To provide support to the Head of GSAM as necessary Key Accountabilities of the role

  1. Assist Head of GSAM in managing lawsuits.
  2. Handling pre-litigation process by preparing & organizing memos, exhibits and assisting with all filing tasks needed.
  3. Conduct legal research. Stay abreast of new laws and changes to existing laws that impact operations and able to provide a comprehensive analysis of those impacts on the business.
  4. Working on Abu Dhabi, Dubai and UAE Federal Courts system and submit applications at smart petition.
  5. Manage incoming & outgoing correspondences and maintain close follow up with the team, internal customers, external law firms, experts, Courts or other third parties.
  6. Translate and summarize hearing, judgments and all other legal materials for the sake of sharing with stakeholders or updating internal records.
  7. Get documents translated internally or externally from appointed translators and proofreading translated docs.
  8. Update case records on electronic system. Organize & maintain physical files in the filing system (physical & electronic).
  9. Update lists of ongoing and closed cases and incorporate needed amendments and relevant updates.
  10. Prepare periodic reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly & annually) about cases development to various stakeholders.
  11. Prepare presentation materials in any format required.
  12. Provide business units with relevant case details wherever required.
  13. Quality control and follow-up of performance indicators in the department.
  14. Handle invoicing processing cycles and coordinate with concerned teams.
  15. Assist litigation counsels as and when required.
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:Bachelor degree (preferably in the field of Law)Previous experience: 5 years of experiencePQE
