Business Development Manager - (22000161)DescriptionJob Summary:Responsible for developing, progressing, and capturing new venders / contracts and retain the existing customer relationships. Collecting tenders and ensuring that it is submitted on time. Arranging the items required for the supply and delivering them as per the schedule. Ensuring the payment received. Monitoring the activity of team members.Duties & Responsibilities:

    1. Identify and secure new clients and tenders within the Government and institutional sector.
    2. Maintain good relationship with Government and private Stake holders to increase the opportunities.
    3. Activate all the contracts which were not active.
    4. Develop, maintain, and execute plans to improve the sale
    5. Oversee the tender submission process, review documents prepared for the tender submission, maintain records of the tender as required, submit tender within the prescribed timelines and track the time taken for tender submission and status / result of the tender.
    6. Prepare the database of the supplier who can provide the quality products with minimum delivery time.
    7. Negotiate for the price of the products to be supplied, without compromising the quality of items.
    8. Follow-up for the purchase orders, ensuring the supply is done within the stipulated time.
    9. Ensuring that the payments are received on time.
    10. Ensure compliance with government regulatory agencies
    11. Develop new business strategies to enhance profit margin and to improve overall performance.
    12. Work through the management team and pharmacy as well as store team, serving as a resource to help reduce costs, enhance revenues, achieve effective utilization and quality goals and objectives, analyze and utilize information to develop and support management decisions.
    13. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein, as may be assigned or delegated.
    14. Comply with all OSH (Occupational safety and health) and infection control policies, standards and procedures and cooperate with hospital management to comply those requirements
    15. Work accordance with the documented OSH procedures and instructions, specific responsibilities
    16. Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures
    17. Notifying OSH Hazards, incidents, Near misses and issues and assistance with the preparation of risk assessments, incident reports
    18. Comply with Waste management procedures and policies
    19. Attend applicable OSH/Infection control training programs, mock drills and awareness programs
    20. Use of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems
    21. Ensure as far as reasonably practicable that any workplaces they manage or control are safe and without risks to health, safety or the environment.
    22. Ensure implementation of applicable HAAD, NMCRH OSHMS and infection control policies and standards
    23. Ensure adequate budget and resources for FMS/OSH/PCI management.
    24. Designating a Safety facilitator who will be responsible for coordinating OSH activities within the department
    25. Regularly discuss OSH issues or matters in departmental/ management meetings
    26. Ensure provision of OSH information, training and Supervision
    27. Implement and monitor effectiveness of risk management program
QualificationsQualification, Licensure, Education, Experience, Special Skills:
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor?s Degree in pharmacy( with/out license)
  • Preferred Education: Master?s Degree
  • Preferred Experience: 3-5 years marketing experience preferably in a pharmacy set-up.
  • Excellent command of oral and written English. Knowledge in Arabic is desirable.
  • Computer Literacy.
