Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:To support the VP insight in delivering high quality business insights into market trends and competitors as well as answering ad hoc requests/questions and serving as an internal consultant to the GCEO by conducting Market analysis and benchmarks to allow informed strategic decisions and choices.?Specific Accountability

  • Research and identify industry best practices and trends to identify inefficiencies and ways to increase effectiveness, synthesize research findings into useful insights and recommendations and produce reports to the VP Insights
  • Acquire, maintain, and apply advanced knowledge of the business, its products and processes, and advanced knowledge of qualitative or quantitative research methodologies
  • Gather data from various databases and sources, use mixed-method approaches to data analysis and develop presentations on data findings to support decision making
  • Take an active part in insight workshops and other collaborative sessions to analyse and model findings and develop conclusions, when required
  • Perform market scanning and research business opportunities (acquisitions, conversions, and development) and determine good investments through market absorption studies, rate analysis studies, and financial modelling
  • Contribute to writing proposals and presentation creation to pitch for new business pursuits
  • Conduct analysis on full project lifecycle for incubated projects, including pulling, manipulating, and exporting data from project requirements documentation to design and execution
  • Develop financial analysis tools to evaluate incubated projects including feasibility analysis, budgeting, variance, and ROI reporting
  • Provide financial support and analysis for strategic business decisions and cost saving initiatives
  • Monitor data to identify changes in financial and business trends and generate models and ad hoc financial analysis reports, charts, tables, and other exhibits as requested to assist the CEO office VPs, as and when required
  • Coordinate the timely and accurate reporting & analysis of the results of the business functions? performance against historical, budgeted, forecasted and strategic planning results to support facilitating decision-making
