Job Description

Role OverviewThe AV Technician reports to the Supervisor who will assign AV setups for Banqueting Events and associated preparations on a daily basis, which also includes coordination, follow-ups, volunteer and work with different departments and the Guest as a lateral service for the success of the event.Main Duties

  • Audiovisual technicians work on events & workshops which needs video or sound sets.
  • Working hours may vary, but if working in facilities its usually regular work hours - they may be required to work longer hours at times.
  • They may also be required to travel to venues and work outdoors on the installation and operation of audiovisual systems.
  • Check schedules for running times and the order in which presentations are to be projected
  • Regulate the projectors light source and adjust the focus, volume, tone, timing, or other controls
  • Adjust projectors by equipment or by hand
  • Operate special effects equipment to project picture slides onto the screen
  • Clean lenses and maintain projection equipment
  • Set up and operate audio-visual equipment such as highly specialized slide projectors, microphones, and portable TV cameras and computerized equipment
The tools and equipment used may include:
  • Audio equipment
  • Audio-visual equipment
  • Slide projectors
  • Videotape recorders & monitors
  • Schedules & invoices
  • Tiers of platters (3-5 on a tier)
  • Special effects equipment
  • Projectors (automatic/semi-automatic)
  • Computers (which coordinate light & sound)

  • Installation & adjustment of dish direction & LNP
  • Troubleshooting & testing of?signal Amplifier
IPTV
  • Streaming of video And Audio
  • Video cod?s -protocols &stander
  • Setup box philosophy
  • To perform other duties that management may from time to time reasonably require.
